Gay muscle sex!

I just found this hysterical.  It was on the main section of the NYTimes last week..  It seems sadly (and frighteningly) relevant:

Captain America Is Dead !

The last episode in Captain America’s life comes after the events of “Civil War,” a seven-issue mini-series that has affected nearly the entire line of Marvel’s library of titles. In “Civil War,” the government began requiring superheroes to register their services, and it outlawed vigilantism after supervillains and superheroes fought during a reality show, accidentally killing hundreds of civilians. The public likened the heroes to weapons of mass destruction that must be controlled.

The registration act polarized the superhero community. Captain America (whose true identity was Steve Rogers) considered the legislation an erosion of civil liberties; Iron Man, on the other side, believed that training heroes as the military, firefighters or the police are trained would only benefit society. When the factions came to blows and caused more destruction, Captain America chose to fight his battle in court.

But in the current issue of his title, Captain America takes bullets in the shoulder and stomach while on the courthouse steps. The assassin is alleged to be Sharon Carter, an intelligence agent romantically involved with Captain America. She was apparently under the control of Dr. Faustus, a supervillain. “It seemed a little radical when it was first brought up,” said Dan Buckley, the president and publisher of Marvel Entertainment, about the hero’s death. “But sometimes stories just take you places.”

As I recently said last week, I was in Miami.  When I was leaving my hotel one day with Joe and Nikolas, this guy came walking down the stairs leaving the hotel as well.  I got yelled at by Joe for staring so obviously but I didn’t care because the guy that I was staring at was OMG hot.  And I was amazed by his tattoos.  Well, we ended up running into him by the pool since that was where he (and we) were headed.  While my friends and I were drooling and coming up with any reason to talk to him, we had easily decided that this guy was the hottest person we have ever seen in person.  And we live in NYC, hot people are abound on the streets and bars.  It turns out that I have spent countless hours this last week trying to remember where I have seen the Love tattoo on his back before.  He is a model, clearly … for DG too.  Josh Wald. He also has a series of shots of him holding a skateboard naked.

It turned out that he left that day and we never saw him again, sadly.

Two weeks ago, before my lovely trip to Miami, I got invited to a screening of Showtime’s future new TV show "The Tudors."  Advance screenings, advance movie releases, quiet Madonna appearances, a city inundated with advertisements of things to buy and see is why you live in NYC.  And the Tudors is why you stay home and watch TV.  haha.  With a perfect blend of sex, intrigue, violence, lust, and bickering about how France is delirious, this show has a lot of promise to being as popular as Rome.  And I say this because it clearly is trying to do for Showtime what Rome did for HBO.  Period piece.  Angry King.  Hot actors laying around in little clothing. 

Henry VIII was the most infamous royal.  No woman (or man) could refuse him.  He was a slutty super sized king who "consumed food and wives as voraciously as he belched out those who crossed him."  Jonathan Rhys Meyers (from one of my favorite films Bend it like Beckham) is a much more interesting choice for portraying Henry VIII than the normal fat, old, bald men.  His best friend Brandon played by Henry Cavill (who appeared in the fairly recent
Tristan and Isolde) is hot, hott, HOT !

It is beautifully filmed on location in Ireland.  It has a glossed over feeling that isn’t exactly 16th century England but works really well.  And Meyers outfits are unbelievably well thought out to make him as sexy as possible.  Rockstar sexy.  It isn’t a history lesson, needless to say.
